Doyel: Colts will show who they are in practices with Ravens

Frank Reich talks Ravens practice, return of Geathers Indianapolis Star

There could be blood. It tends to happen when two NFL teams come together for a joint practice, as the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens will do Friday and Saturday before their 2018 NFL preseason game Monday.

This could be good. This could be instructive.

Not good in the meathead way. Never that. But if it happens, as it happened Sunday with the Redskins and Jets, as it happened Wednesday with the Texans and 49ers, as it happens time and again around NFL training camps – the NFL actually sent a memo a few years ago, asking teams to please stop punching each other during joint practices – this would make for another teachable moment for Colts coach Frank Reich and perhaps an easy roster decision for Colts General Manager Chris Ballard.
