INDIANAPOLIS – Donald Thomas' injury-plagued tenure in Indianapolis officially came to a close on Monday morning.
With the first round of roster cuts pending, the Colts released Thomas.
Thought to be an important piece to the Colts offensive line puzzle back in 2013, Thomas tore his quad (and injured his bicep) in Week Two of that season. Another quad injury last Training Camp marked the final time Thomas would be on a Colts practice field.
Along with Thomas, the Colts waived the following players on Monday to trim their roster to 76 players: G-Harland Gunn, ILB-Nicklas Haag, OLB-Zack Hodges, T-Tyler Hoover, WR-Ryan Lankford, DT-Jeris Pendleton, WR-Ezell Ruffin, ILB-Justin Shirk, TE-Justin Sinz, RB-Abou Toure and C-Brandon Vitabile.
