Former Colts safety Dewey McDonald has been claimed by the Patriots, according to reports.
With safeties Mike Adams and Clayton Geathers both expected to be back for Monday night's game against the Carolina Panthers, the Indianapolis Colts waived safety Dewey McDonald on Tuesday in order to make room for a wide receiver, Quan Bray. McDonald has spent considerable amount of time with the Colts since his rookie year last year, and this year was a part of the practice squad until he was promoted last week.
