Delay of hall of fame induction means Edgerrin James could be enshrined alongside Manning

Though it will mean having to wait one more year before being officially enshrined, in a way it seems fitting that Edgerrin James now might be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame alongside his longtime runningmate, supporter and fellow Indianapolis Colts legend, Peyton Manning.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the NFL decided to postpone the Aug. 8 enshrinement ceremony at Canton Ohio's Pro Football Hall of Fame, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The NFL also canceled the Hall of Fame game, which would have pitted the Dallas Cowboys against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Cowboys and Steelers are now expected to play in the 2021 Hall of Fame Game, according to Schefter's sources, and the enshrinement ceremony also is expected to be held next year.
