INDIANAPOLIS — Dayo Odeyingbo, the Colts’ second-round pick, will miss at least eight games of his rookie season after being placed on the reserve/non-football injury list to open the regular season.
Odeyingbo, still rehabilitating a torn Achilles tendon suffered while preparing for the Senior Bowl in January, cannot practice for the first six weeks of the season, and he cannot play in a game until he's been back on the practice field for at least two weeks.
Indianapolis has known all along that Odeyingbo might miss the first eight games. The Colts selected Odeyingbo knowing that they might have to wait to see the Vanderbilt product on the field.
