Daurice Fountain suffers ankle injury; likely out for season

The Indianapolis Colts receiving core took a blow Thursday afternoon. Promising young wide receiver Daurice Fountain suffered a “significant ankle injury” according to head coach Frank Reich.

Fountain was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 draft, and was having an impressive training camp until this point. Unfortunately, his season is likely over. Fountain fell to the ground on a non-contact play and eventually was carted off the field.

“He’s had a great camp,” Reich said. “He’s worked extremely hard and looked extremely good.

“You never wanna lose a guy,” Reich continued.
