Colts' Adams hurts ankle vs. Broncos; out for game

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts safety Mike Adams left Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos with an ankle injury. He has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

The injury happened after Adams intercepted a Peyton Manning pass that was tipped early in the second quarter. Adams tried to gain some yards after the interception, but he quickly fell to the ground in pain. Adams had to be helped off the field by a trainer and linebacker D'Qwell Jackson.

Adams is the backbone of the Colts' secondary. The interception was Adams' fifth of the season, which tied him with Oakland's Charles Woodson for the NFL lead.
