EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Facing a chance to turn around a season that has seen promise mostly dissolve into disappointment this year, the Indianapolis Colts turned in their worst performance of the season on Sunday.
A back-and-forth game turned into a 42-34 loss, a self-inflicted defeat that leaves the Colts at the bottom of the AFC.
Indianapolis turned the ball over four times, struggled to convert in the red zone and looked helpless against New York’s passing offense as the Jets scored 20 consecutive points during a stretch of 5:36 at the end of the second quarter and the beginning of the third.
