Colts won't have DE Denico Autry, ST coach Bubba Ventrone against Packers due to COVID-19

INDIANAPOLIS — For the first time this season, the Colts will be missing a player due to COVID-19 when they play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Defensive lineman Denico Autry will be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday after missing Thursday’s practice with an illness designation. Special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone will also miss the Packers game for reasons related to COVID-19.

The silver lining is that the NFL has determined the Colts have no high-risk close contacts, leaving the rest of the roster and staff available against the Packers.

Three more Colts defensive linemen — nose tackle Grover Stewart, defensive end/tackle Tyquan Lewis and defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad — were held out of Thursday’s practice for precautionary reasons, but after the NFL ruled they were not high-risk close contacts, all three were back at practice Friday.
