The Colts have not decided if they will exercise the fifth-year option on free safety Malik Hooker’s contract.
Hooker is headed into the fourth and final assured year of his rookie deal in 2020, but as a first-round pick, there is a team option built into the deal that allows Indianapolis to keep him.
If the Colts do not exercise the option, Hooker would be headed for free agency in 2021.
“We’ve got a little time,” Colts general manager Chris Ballard said during a media teleconference Friday.
