Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano announced on Wednesday that starting wide receiver Donte Moncrief has a fractured scapula–essentially his shoulder blade and will miss 4-6 weeks recovering:
The 3rd-year wideout suffered the injury early in the first half against the Denver Broncos and was forced to leave the game this past Sunday. However, the team was still awaiting the MRI results on his shoulder prior to today’s announcement.
Obviously, it’s a big blow for the Colts offense, as the 6’2″, 222 pound Moncrief was the possession wideout in their offense–arguably their most dynamic receiver, and one of star quarterback Andrew Luck‘s favorite targets to start the season.
