The Indianapolis Colts waived TE Mo Alie-Cox and WR Harvey Binford from the injured reserve list with settlements on Friday.
Alie-Cox, 23, is making the transition to football as a tight end, but was not draft eligible this year, which allowed him to sign on with a team of his choosing. He drew interest from several teams before eventually agreeing to a contract with the Colts back in April.
The Colts waived him with an injury designation last Saturday.
During his four-year career at VCU, Alie-Cox totaled 1,092 points, 633 rebounds, 112 assists, 88 steals and 255 blocks over the course of 142 games.
