INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts tried out veteran NFL cornerback Prince Amukamara on Thursday, according to the NFL’s transactions wire.
Making a move to look at Amukamara, a starter with the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears for eight of his nine seasons in the NFL, is an interesting move, considering that starting cornerback Xavier Rhodes injured his right hamstring in last week’s loss to the Raiders.
Rhodes has not practiced this week.
“The hamstring, we’ll continue to evaluate that this week, see how he’s doing and go day-to-day with him,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said on Monday, his most recent comments on the veteran cornerback.
