On his way to the media session following the Indianapolis Colts’ second joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, Colts’ quarterback Anthony Richardson asked if everyone stayed dry.
“That’s football weather,” he said. “That was like Florida weather.”
Minutes after the practice time arrived, the sky let loose as rain covered Grand Park Sports Campus. With the weather, came good and bad play for the Colts.
“You have to look at the tape because there’s always things to clean up,” Colts coach Shane Steichen said. “Our guys handled it well.”
While the Colts and Cardinals worked with what Mother Nature decided for them, the decision to play in the adverse weather came down to multiple factors.
