Colts to honor Peyton Manning in Indianapolis on Friday

INDIANAPOLIS -- How fitting is it that No. 18 is returning to Indianapolis to be honored on the 18th of the month after an 18-year Hall of Fame career?

The Colts announced Thursday they will hold a press conference to honor retired quarterback Peyton Manning on Friday at their facility. Manning announced his retirement on March 7 after leading the Denver Broncos to the Super Bowl.

Owner Jim Irsay and Manning will be in attendance for the event.

Manning was named league MVP four times and threw for 54,828 yards and 399 touchdowns while with Indianapolis.
