The Indianapolis Colts were dealt a devastating blow Monday when coach Frank Reich announced that Pro Bowl tight end Jack Doyle is out for the season. Doyle will be placed on injured reserve with a kidney injury that sent him to the hospital last night.
The team expects him to be released from the hospital soon.
Doyle caught a second-quarter touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Dolphins but wasn't on the field for the game-winning drive in the fourth. He ended up playing only 38 snaps, 11 less than Ebron, a rarity in the Colts' offensive scheme.
