INDIANAPOLIS — Finding an offensive lineman on the final day of the draft is harder than it’s ever been. The proliferation of the spread offense at the college level, the lack of full-contact practice, the complexity of the NFL game all have led to a lack of line depth coming out of the college ranks.
For all of those reasons, finding a rookie offensive lineman who can help right away is even harder.
The Colts think they might have found the needle in the haystack in Ball State’s Danny Pinter.
“I give Danny a lot of credit,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said.
