Philip Rivers put together perhaps his best game of the season on Sunday afternoon. He threw passes to nine different targets and finished 19/28 for 244 yards and two touchdowns. This was good for a 118.8 QB rating. He has continued to get dialed in with T.Y. Hilton, who is experiencing a late-season explosion and showing signs that concerns about his career coming to an early end were perhaps premature.
It is worth noting that Rivers’ familiarity with the Raiders appeared to be a factor. So much so that after the game, which saw the Colts dominate in both offensive phases, Las Vegas head coach Jon Gruden first defensive coordinator Paul Guenther.
