INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts added a pair of intriguing names on Tuesday to the long list of players they have signed to reserve/future contracts this winter.
Indianapolis signed former Ravens kicker Jake Verity and former Giants defensive lineman R.J. McIntosh on Tuesday.
Verity, a second-year kicker, is intriguing because of the Colts’ uncertainty at the kicker postion, and because of the place he got his start in the NFL. Undrafted after a disappointing final season at East Carolina, Verity signed with Baltimore, spent the entire offseason and training camp learning from Ravens star Justin Tucker and team kicking specialist Randy Brown, then stuck on Baltimore’s practice squad until he was placed on practice squad injured reserve in December.
