INDIANAPOLIS – The trade of Dwayne Allen opened up reps at the tight end position in 2017.
New tight end Brandon Williams (6-3, 247 pounds) will be in line to take some of those snaps.
The Colts signed Williams on Monday afternoon.
Williams, 29, has played in 45 career games with stops in Carolina, Miami and Settle.
With the Seahawks last season, Williams played 148 offensive snaps as the team's third-string tight end.
Going into 2017, the Colts now have Williams going into a tight end room headlined by Jack Doyle and Erik Swoope.
