INDIANAPOLIS — Reinforcements are on the way for a banged-up, beleaguered Colts secondary.
Indianapolis signed a pair of veterans, cornerback Darqueze Dennard and strong safety Josh Jones, to the practice squad Wednesday, adding players with long NFL track records who might be better suited to stepping into the lineup in a pinch.
The Colts have been hit hard by cornerback injuries this season.
Rock Ya-Sin has missed two games with an ankle injury and reinjured the ankle against the Texans. Xavier Rhodes missed the first two games and hasn’t looked like himself. Veteran T.J. Carrie has missed three games, is on injured reserve and likely won’t return soon.
