The Indianapolis Colts announced on Wednesday that the team has signed backup defensive tackle Sheldon Day to a 1-year deal:
Originally a 2016 4th round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 6’1”, 285 pound defensive tackle spent the last three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
Of course, the former teammate of Colts new All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner in San Francisco could very well be backing him up in Indianapolis at the three-technique spot.
Day’s fresh off a season for the NFC Champion 49ers in which he recorded 15 tackles and a sack in 16 games (2 starts).
