The Colts announced that they have signed safety Mike Mitchell and waived cornerback Lenzy Pipkins. This is an interesting move for a few reasons, one of them being that the Colts seem to need more help at cornerback.
Mitchell was a former teammate of Shamarko Thomas, who was the first player in the league to be ejected for lowering the helmet on a tackle. That was the last straw for the Colts, who then turned around and cut him. Mitchell has been out of work since last season.
Signing Mitchell shows the roster trends that the Colts have.
