INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have added another competitor in the race for the No. 3 running back spot behind Jonathan Taylor, and this one has plenty of experience.
Indianapolis is signing former Broncos, Texans and Dolphins running back Phillip Lindsay to a one-year deal, according to the running back’s agent, Mike McCartney.
By picking up Lindsay, the Colts landed a back who has twice broken the 1,000-yard mark, even if he is coming off of a down year in Houston and Miami.
Undrafted out of Colorado, Lindsay made Denver’s roster and almost immediately became a rookie sensation for the Broncos, piling up 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns on just 192 carries to make the Pro Bowl.
