The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have promoted ILB Darnell Sankey from their practice squad to the active roster and waived WR Matt Hazel in a corresponding roster move.

Sankey, 22, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State. Unfortunately, Denver chose to waive him as they trimmed down to 75 players.
The Raiders later signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season before cutting him loose in October of last year.
