The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have signed free agent cornerback Kenneth Acker.
Acker (6-0, 195, 26) most recently played with the Kansas City Chiefs (2016-’17) and has also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers (2015-’15). He was a sixth-round pick by the 49ers out of SMU in the 2014 draft, No. 180 overall.
Acker spent his rookie season on Injured Reserve after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot. He was a starter for much of 2015, ultimately starting 15-of-40 career games. He has 105 tackles, 4 interceptions, 12 pass breakups and 1 fumble recovered in his career.
