The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday that they’ve signed veteran DT Josh Boyd to a contract and waived OLB Curt Maggitt with an injury settlement.
Boyd, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.25 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Packers waived him last May.
Boyd has been working his way back from a serious ankle injury that ended his 2015 season.
In 2015, Boyd appeared in two games for the Packers after he suffered a torn ligaments in addition to a broken bone in his ankle and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve.
