The Indianapolis Colts announced on Wednesday that the team has signed cornerback Rashaan Melvin and waived quarterback Stephen Morris in a corresponding move.
Originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2013, Melvin has also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, and New England Patriots organizations.
The 6’2″, 193 pound cornerback has appeared in 12 games (2 starts) over his 4-year career, recording 33 tackles, 1 pass defensed, and a forced fumble. This past season, Melvin appeared in 9 games with both the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots, finishing with 7 tackles.
