Colts send Patrick Robinson to injured reserve

The Indianapolis Colts have another broken cornerback – and another injured starter.

Not 24 hours after the team sent Jack Mewhort, Clayton Geathers and Curt Maggitt to injured reserve, the team lost starting cornerback Patrick Robinson on Tuesday, ending a disappointing season for the first-year Colt.

After suffering a concussion early in the season, then battling through knee and hip injuries, Robinson suffered a groin injury against the Steelers in Week 12. It would be the last Robinson would see of the field in 2016.

Robinson was the Colts’ marquee free agent signing last offseason, lured to town to fill the void at cornerback after Greg Toler never materialized into the force the Colts had hoped he would.
