The Colts do not have a lot of depth at the wide receiver position. They let Donte Moncrief walk and did not re-sign Kamar Aiken. They have tried to improve that with the selection of Clemson wide receiver Deon Cain.
Cain was the 185th pick in the draft. He won a national championship with the Tigers, and has been a key receiver for them. He had 9 touchdown catches his sophomore year, and had 6 in his junior year. Cain decided to forgo his senior year to enter the draft.
Cain was much more of a deep threat during his sophomore campaign, as he had 724 yards on only 38 catches.
