INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts are not passing on opportunities to add receiving help for Matt Ryan.
Indianapolis selected Virginia tight end Jelani Woods with the No. 73 overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.
He's their second pick of the draft, following Cincinnati wide receiver Alec Pierce in the second round. The Colts will make their next selection at No. 77.
Woods spend his first three seasons at Oklahoma State and was primarily a blocker before transferring to Virginia and breaking out with 44 receptions for 598 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
