The Colts had only drafted one offensive player before the seventh round. Then in the middle of the round, they took tackle Jackson Barton out of Utah. Barton is the first offensive lineman that the Colts added in the draft since the 7th round last season.
Barton is a very big human being at 6’7 and 313 pounds. Being that large, he still has pretty decent lateral movement on the outside. He does a good job keeping defensive ends away with his long reach and his solid technique. But he does have some concerns.
The reason why Barton didn’t get taken until the 7th round is because he doesn’t overpower anyone despite his size.
