WESTFIELD — Carson Wentz’s surgery Monday revealed no other complications in his foot, Colts head coach Frank Reich said Tuesday.
Wentz underwent surgery performed by Dr. David Porter to remove a piece of bone that had broken loose in his foot, the product of a fracture the quarterback unknowingly suffered in the past, likely in high school.
The Colts’ starting quarterback faces a recovery timeline of five to 12 weeks.
“Very successful surgery,” Reich said. “Best-case scenario. What’s that mean? It means you go in, you remove the (piece of) bone that was in there, you look around, and there was nothing else going on.
