Various media members and scouts alike have said it a hundred times, but Colts rookie edge Laiatu Latu is the most polished pass rusher in the 2024 NFL Draft Class. His skillset offers potential for early-career production and although he enters an already deep defensive line, this could end up paying dividends for Latu across a 17-game season.
This deep defensive front in Indy retained all of its record-setting sack producers from a season ago and added Latu to the mix, furthering the room’s potential as a collective quarterback killer. Although there are typically only four down linemen on any given pass rush down, therefore one might assume there are not enough snaps to go around, this could serve as an aid as opposed to being a hindrance for Latu in his rookie season.
