WESTFIELD – The Indianapolis Colts often found ways to lose last season.
Could rookie running back Jordan Wilkins help change that? In his short time with the Colts, Wilkins has drawn attention for doing things that win football games.
In Thursday night’s preseason opener in Seattle, the Colts were clinging to a 19-17 lead late in the game. The offense needed a first down. On third-and-1, they handed off to Wilkins, and there was little daylight. But instead of being tacked in the backfield, Wilkins eluded a defender and made a tough 3-yard gain. First down. Colts run out the clock.
