INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts are now in search of two new starting defensive backs this offseason.
On Friday afternoon, the Colts released veteran cornerback Patrick Robinson, after just one season in Indianapolis.
A variety of injury ailments (concussion, knee, groin) in 2016 forced Robinson to miss nine games in his lone year with the Colts.
Robinson signed a three-year contract with the Colts last March, with the thinking he would solidify the ever-changing No. 2 cornerback spot in Indy.
Cornerback was viewed an off-season need for the Colts even before this move was made.
