Colts receivers Anthony Gould, Alec Pierce show progress in middle of key position battles

WESTFIELD — The Indianapolis Colts held the fifth training camp practice Wednesday, continuing the intense 90-minute pace set to get the best performance out of each player on each repetition.

Indianapolis’ defensive line stuffed its offense backed up against the goal line in the first team session of practice. Anthony Richardson missed consecutive throws, then took a supposed sack on his third drop back. Indianapolis’ second-year QB struggled to hit targets downfield and find his timing during both sessions of 1-on-1s and 7-on-7s. Richardson finished 7-for-12 passing during 11-on-11 periods and can learn from Wednesday’s practice film to prepare for his second NFL campaign.
