INDIANAPOLIS – The “Luck Watch” has reached the same level as last week.
On Wednesday morning, the Colts signed Josh Johnson back to the active roster, giving the Colts three quarterbacks heading into a game, the same number they had last Sunday.
The team previously released Johnson on Monday after he was the backup against the Jaguars.
The re-signing of Johnson is definitely an insurance move with the uncertainty of Andrew Luck’s shoulder and the health of Matt Hasselbeck, who was sick and missed Tuesday’s practice.
So, for the second straight week, the Colts will carry three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, a very rare number in the Luck era.
