Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Anthony Richardson is being held out of the remainder of Week 4’s game after suffering a reported ‘hip pointer’ during the first quarter of Sunday’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers:
The belief is Colts QB Anthony Richardson suffered a hip pointer, per sources.
With hip pointer + 17-point lead, I’m told Colts decided to be safe with his health & rule him out. Richardson remains on sidelines interacting with his team.— Cameron Wolfe (@CameronWolfe) September 29, 2024Richardson has officially been downgraded to out.
With 5:42 left in the first quarter, Richardson ran the ball for 14 yards, but after failing to slide, took a significant hit to apparently the hip and fumbled, which was recovered by Indianapolis rookie offensive lineman Tanor Bortolini.
