Colts promote former Super Bowl champion cornerback to active roster among moves

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Tuesday that the team signed cornerback David Long Jr. from the team’s practice squad and also re-signed rookie running back Trent Pennix to the team’s taxi-man team in a corresponding roster move:

Long Jr. occupies the vacant 53-man roster spot that was left open after fellow cornerback Dallis Flowers was somewhat surprisingly released on Monday—after he gave up an 85-yard touchdown reception to Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Brian Thomas Jr.
