There is no momentum killer on the gridiron like a pick-six.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson looked immaculate in his first series during Thursday’s 27-14 road win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He engineered a 12-play, 80-yard scoring drive in just over six minutes. Richardson ignited the opening drive by executing a smooth, play-action pass to receiver Alec Pierce for 18 yards. Faced with third-and-10, Richardson recognized the blitz and fired a quick throw to Pierce, who then marched forward for another first down past midfield.
After Indianapolis fed running back Jonathan Taylor on four consecutive plays to reach goal-to-go, Richardson found rookie receiver Adonai Mitchell uncovered on a shallow cross and delivered a dart across the middle.
