The Indianapolis Colts hope to tread water in the AFC Standings while concerns mount on the trajectory of the franchise beyond 2024.
At the start of last season, Colts head coach Shane Steichen and quarterback Anthony Richardson made their coaching and playing debut in the preseason opener in Buffalo. The new era in Indy lasted just four regular season starts before Richardson elected to have season-ending shoulder surgery to repair an AC joint sprain. After making a full recovery and getting groomed to earn the starting nod in his sophomore season, it took just six more starts for Steichen to decide to bench him in favor of 39-year-old QB Joe Flacco.
