INDIANAPOLIS – If you had taken stock of the Indianapolis Colts roster one year ago and identified the areas showing promise, the defensive line likely would have been among them.
Veteran defensive end Kendall Langford was coming off one of the best seasons of his career. Henry Anderson’s rookie season was cut short by knee surgery, but he looked like a revelation. Up-and-comers Zach Kerr, David Parry and T.Y. McGill looked as if they could be key pieces of an impressive rotation.
Then the 2016 season happened, proving, yet again, that making prognostications in the NFL is an exercise in futility.
