Colts pledge support to families affected by tornadoes in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts announced Thursday that they will offer assistance to those impacted by the tornadoes that hit different parts of Indiana on Wednesday.

Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight told reporters that the storms forced about 220 people out of their homes and into shelters. Kokomo is about 60 miles north of Indianapolis.

“Want to shout out to everybody who was affected by [Wednesday’s] storms,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. “Obviously there was a ton of damage. We’re keeping all those people that were affected by the weather in our thoughts and prayers. [The Colts are going to] lend a hand -- so to speak -- and try to help those people recover as much as we can.
