A pair of Indianapolis Colts players turned some heads with their team impact in the final month of the regular season.
The NFL announced Thursday that defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and running back Jonathan Taylor received monthly accolades for December.
Buckner's efforts earned him AFC Defensive Player of the Month, while Taylor was awarded NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month.
Linebacker Darius Leonard was the last Colts player to receive AFC Defensive Player of the Month honors back in 2018.
Buckner racked up 18 tackles, seven sacks, two passes defensed and a forced fumble over the last five weeks of the season, including four tackles, two tackles for a loss, a career-high three sacks and a forced fumble against the Houston Texans in Week 15.
