INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts suddenly find themselves traveling to Pittsburgh without arguably their most critical offensive lineman in the matchup with the Steelers.
Indianapolis placed right tackle Braden Smith on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday, a move that ensures he will not be able to return for Sunday’s game.
Smith has been remarkably good and consistent this season — he has not given up a sack all year — but his absence will be especially tough to take because he was supposed to be matched up this week against Steelers superstar T.J. Watt, who leads the NFL with 13 sacks and 40 quarterback hits.
