According to ‘Good Morning Football’s’ Kyle Brandt, Indianapolis Colts kicker Rodrigo Blankenship is his rookie with the spotlight firmly on him at NFL training camp (2:25 mark):
The undrafted rookie from Georgia was signed by the Colts earlier this offseason, and ‘Hot Rod’ (rocking the infamous rec specs) is in a heated competition with 2nd-year kicker Chase McLaughlin for the starting kicker job—as Indianapolis is seemingly moving on from longtime veteran Adam Vinatieri (free agent).
Except the loser here goes home or is unceremoniously traded to another NFL team (*maybe re-signed to the Colts practice squad).
