INDIANAPOLIS — In an ideal world, Colts offensive line coach Chris Strausser wouldn’t have spent so much time mixing and matching already this season.
His left tackle, Eric Fisher, missed the opener and hasn’t looked like himself since returning. Right tackle Braden Smith hasn’t played since the opener. His All-Pro left guard, Quenton Nelson, missed the first start of his career last week, and he’ll miss at least the next two. Even Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly missed a significant chunk of training camp.
Not that Strausser is willing to use any of those absences as an excuse.
