INDIANAPOLIS — Philip Rivers made one throw he’d like to have back Wednesday, a deep ball to Parris Campbell that it looked like he recognized a little late and threw a little behind the receiver, allowing safety George Odum to drift over and make the interception, even though Campbell was open.
Outside of that throw, Rivers was on target throughout the day. Rivers completed 14 of 18 throws, and two of his incompletions were good throws that the receiver had trouble hauling in.
The first, a ball down the sideline to Hilton, may have been a completion; Hilton bobbled it on his way out of bounds and the defensive backs said he was too far out.
