INDIANAPOLIS — Andrew Luck had an epically hot hand late in Sunday's overtime loss to the Texans.
The Colts quarterback caught fire in the fourth quarter and nearly led Indianapolis to another come-from-behind victory at Lucas Oil Stadium.
When head coach Frank Reich made the decision to put the ball in Luck's hands on fourth-and-4 at Indianapolis' 43-yard line with 27 seconds to play, the quarterback was 23-of-29 for 228 yards and two touchdowns during the fourth quarter and the extra period.
So the risk — though far from by-the-book — was calculated.
But Luck's pass to wide receiver Chester Rogers near the sideline fell short, and Houston quickly drove for a 37-yard field goal by Ka'imi Fairbairn and a 37-34 victory.
